The mission of our university is to actively contribute to an inclusive and sustainable society. We do this by training valuable professionals and conducting practice-oriented research
WHY DID WE JOIN
Joining Perron038 is a win-win situation! We would like to introduce our students to assignments from the business world. Initiated by the founding partners of Perron038, they offer an excellent opportunity for all of us: students learn to be practical and problem-oriented while companies are being assisted with their technical challenges.
The direct contacts we gain from our partnership at Perron038 offer a much steeper learning curve for the students. Getting out of the “school” environment and actually working concretely on various projects. In addition, the central location has a great advantage that students are no longer geographically bound and can all work together at Perron038!
WHAT DO WE CONTRIBUTE TO INNOVATION
Windesheim constantly engages in practice-oriented research through research projects. Within the field of technology we are working on Communities of Practice (CoP):
- Factory of the future
A CoP is in fact a collaboration where research (lectorate/companies) and practical assignments are carried out by students supported by lecturers (degree programs) or lecturer and/or junior researchers (lectorate). Multidisciplinary working within the various courses is essential: only together you can achieve concrete solutions.
The CoPs indicate where the focus should be concerning technology in the coming years. Think specifically about issues / problems such as:
- Industry 4.0
- Additive manufacturing
- 3D printing
- Sustainable technology
- Energy transition
